The seventh edition of People for People Gala, held on the 11th of March, awarded the social involvement gestures of Romanian companies, organizations and individuals. The highest impact of a CSR program conducted by SME was awarded to Baneasa Shopping City team for the “Designer of Good Deeds” campaign that raised over 14.500 Euro and helped 500 kids from disadvantaged families. Driven by a desire of social involvement, Baneasa Shopping City invited 10 Romanian designers to decorate 10 outsized eggs, that were later sold to Romanian companies that expressed the desire to be a part of the event, with the purpose of raising funds or children in difficulty, beneficiary of the United Way Romania programs. Amongst the designers that accepted the invitation to decorate the ten eggs were Rita Mureșan, Mihai Albu, Clara Rotescu, Kristina Dragomir, Liliana Țuroiu Udrea, Romaniţa Iovan, Wilhelmina Arz, Laura Olteanu, Cristian Samfira and Claudia Castrase. People for People Gala is an event held by the Association for Community Relations and the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania.
The ”Most Admired Business Women Awards” Gala called together all the women that made a difference in their area of expertise and that had a major contribution to the success of the business and the projects they are involved with. Loredana Croicia impressed with the creativity of her leadership style, that she practices as Sales & Marketing Manager of Baneasa Shopping City and won the Most Creative Leadership Award within the Gala organizes by Business Arena Magazine.
