“Halloween” Campaign

Every feast that we enjoy must be a joyful occasion for the underprivileged children also.

For this reason, charitable campaigns and events developed by different companies and associations are always a great support for bringing happy moments into these children’s lives. 
On 16th of October, Baneasa Shopping City was the guest for the opening campaign called “Halloween”, where journalists but also people were expected. The first initiative of Baneasa Shopping City came into the support of helping the underprivileged children, sustained by “Ovidiu Rom Association”, through some valuable objects sold on the tender “Charity Halloween Ball”, that took place on the 25th of October 2008, at the Parliament Palace. Being at the 4th edition, the ball’s aim was to raise funds for the national initiative development called “Every child in school”.
During every weekend from this period, Baneasa Shopping City had welcomed its visitors with decorations in the spirit of Halloween, witches and pumpkins, magical moments and a Magical Lottery. There has been designed a special urn for the donations, having the pumpkin’s look, and for every donation made, the visitors have been repaid with a delicious pumpkin pie.
“Ovidiu Rom” was the centre of attention, an association that comes into the support of the underprivileged children, with the wish of helping with great words Baneasa Shopping City, by which we would like to stand by every children, listless if they have socials problems or not. This initiative will be succeeded by a lot of surprises that we set up especially for the little visitors on Halloween. Baneasa Shopping City will become the most fashionable place in town, inviting the visitors in a unique atmosphere, with horror masks, frightening characters and a Magical Lottery.” Loredana Croicia, Communication & Promotions Manager Băneasa Developments.

Lady Leslie Hawke, president of the association, made a tradition of involving Hollywood stars in advocacy the initiatives unreeled by Ovidiu Rom.  So those, two of the 7th objects exhibited in Baneasa Shopping City and then bidden, belong to some American stars. It is about Damiani necklace, which commercial value is 17.980 dollars, donated by Gwyneth Paltrow and the varnished leather bag Versace Hit, received by Demi Moore from Donatella Versace. The value of this bag is 4.000 dollars.
The others 5 pieces that could be admired for premier in Baneasa Shopping City between 16th - 24th of October and that was bidden at the Charity Ball from Halloween are:

  • Daniel Balanescu – “ Ioana who always forgets something” – painting on textile material with wood frame, estimated at  1.000€;
  • Cela Neamtu – “Voronet” - tapestry on golden frame, pass partout grey anthracite, using haute lessee “Voronetian” technique. It is a reproduction of a fragment by the mural painting from  Voronet Monastery, in value of 3.000€;
  • Roxana Rivero Castilla – “ Connection of the  crystal” – silver sculpture presented in a wood box, in value of  1.500€;
  • Stephan Pelger- white silken shantung natural dress, in value of 2.000€;
  • Lena Criveanu – blue dress from organza and silky veil with spangle, created exclusiveness for the event, in value of 2.000€.
